Yo Peeps…I’m moving.

14 10 2008

It’s true.  In preparation for the recent update to Ted Dekker’s website (aka “Ted 2.0″), I have set up a lemonade stand on a new street corner. With the close of the graphic novel projects, I will be spending my time exclusively on Ted.  All Ted all the time, yes sir.  The reason?  Well, I’m going to be the man behind the curtain.

So, I will be shutting this blog down in 30 days. If you wish to join me, you can find me at:

Thanks all!

Field of Blood Bonus Trailer

22 07 2008

Field of Blood Exclusive…so, you know about the FOB trailer on Youtube (see the post before this one).  But what you may not know is that a second trailer exists and it can only be found on Eric Wilson’s website.  More layers of the same story. Be sure to check it out.

The Official Field of Blood trailer is live!

21 07 2008

Recently I had the privilege of producing the book trailer for Field of Blood, the anticipated new release from best-selling author Eric Wilson. For those of you who haven’t heard of it, here’s the skinny:

The suicide of Judas Iscariot in 30 A.D. left his blood seeping into the soil of the Field of Blood, in Aramaic the Akeldama. When this same field is disturbed by work crews outside Jerusalem in 1989, a clan of supernatural Collectors is released from the ancient burial chambers. Infused with Judas’s enmity, they seek to corrupt and destroy.

Gina Lazarescu has always felt like she didn’t quite belong. But a bizarre accident with a delivery van leaves her questioning if the differences aren’t more significant than she realized. When a man she met as a young girl in Romania reappears with a fantastic tale of immortality, Gina must decide whether to believe or to ignore what she’s seeing.

Regardless of what she decides, she’s headed for an unavoidable collision with the Akeldama.

Be sure to check it out. This is going to be one of those books that breaks new ground.

Craziness abounds

17 07 2008

I passed myself twice this morning coming and going.  I know, it’s a crazy thing.  Story of my life, though.  Lots of great stuff is happening right now:

Lost books graphic novels…we’re closing in on the end of Chosen and Infidel.  We ran into a couple snags along the way, but the books are looking really good.  We’re on track to have art complete by the end of this month so I can turn the books into Thomas Nelson in August. I’m hoping to post exclusive samplers of each book here very soon, if I can get clearance from Nelson.

Dekkerland…I’m neck-deep in planning a COMPLETE overhaul of Ted’s online presence, including his website.  There are some very cool things in the works.  We’re targeting October as a launch.  TD.com will never be the same again.

Ted’s working on Green. He read the opening to me yesterday.  It’s going to be mind twistingly incredible.

The Gathering 2009.  As of today we have about 800 people who say they’re planning to attend.  The plans are coming along and next year will be phenomenal.

Outside of Dekkerland…I’m working on the book trailer for good friend Eric Wilson’s upcoming release, Field of Blood. I’m reading the book right now and think this is really going to be a breakout novel for him.  It’s got it all and puts a spin on the whole vampire mythology that ties in Bibilical history.  Visit him at www.wilsonwriter.com if you get a chance.  If you haven’t heard of him yet, you’re about to.

All right…back to work.

A word of advice (or my favorite Nike ad of all time…circa 1995)

3 07 2008

Do not resist chances.  Take them like vitamins.

Let go of the brakes.  See what happens if you go five more miles.

Foot bridges be damned, find your own way across.

Don’t worry about the bumps and bruises.  Your body can take them.

Don’t steer around the bits that scare you.  Go over them.  Go through them.

Do something the guys in the bowling league would be terrified of.

You will feel your chin rise up from your chest.  And you’ll be able to see what’s around you.  What’s ahead of you.

And there will be one less thing you cannot do.
